As an ex-stylist and blogger, Kim Gray has the eye for something that can make a room pop. Whilst juggling life as a mum of 4 (including 3 year old triplets!), Kim balances family life with curating a house full of warm tones, natural wood finishes and rustic woven textiles, and manages to bring a feel of South African sun (their previous home) to their current abode in Dublin, Ireland. As a long term Yonder customer, this month we have *virtually* popped over to Kim’s house, for a natter and some interiors inspo.
“Our house was never our ideal home (a same-same complex-ready-build vs. a little characterful cottage), but being pregnant with triplets put us under pressure to find a space to suit our growing needs, and quickly. However, it was nothing that a coat of white paint and a few special pieces couldn’t make our own.”

“I instantly fell In love with a rare, blue Kilim from Yonder, as it tied in with a lot of our living room/ playroom colours. It’s still one of my absolute favourite pieces in the house. While I’m more drawn to neutrals as I’ve gotten older, I still feel that a kids or family area deserves a little playful colour.”

“I’ve loved Moroccan decor ever since we chose it as our wedding theme. Guests ate snacks and drank bubbly on Moroccan rugs on the grass while burnt orange coloured roses, olive leaves & rosemary adorned the tables with Moroccan tea lights & glasses. We ate Moroccan food and danced under the stars on a hot February night. I love that you can get really eclectic with Moroccan decor, but just as easily style it in a very contemporary or minimal home. It’s so adaptable."
“I always feel a house should look like it has a story, collected items vs. being “decorated” overnight. Vintage rugs really add that bit of character for me. I also love that one can move them round the house, and create a new look or feel too.”
