As an ex-stylist and blogger, Kim Gray has the eye for something that can make a room pop. Whilst juggling life as a mum of 4 (including 3 year old triplets!), Kim balances family life with curating a house full of warm tones, natural wood finishes and rustic woven textiles, and manages to bring a feel of South African sun (their previous home) to their current abode in Dublin, Ireland. As a long term Yonder customer, this month we have *virtually* popped over to Kim’s house, for a natter and some interiors inspo. “Our house was never our ideal home (a same-same complex-ready-build vs. a little characterful cottage), but being pregnant with triplets put us under pressure to find a...
After the much needed sun over the Easter weekend, we can’t wait until we’re able to travel a little further afield for day trips away and weekend staycations here in the UK. Nestled on the south coast of the UK, the cobbled-street laden town of Rye is a quaint travel destination. RAE, an Independent vintage homeware and lifestyle store owned by former Hackney resident Alexa, now based in Rye, boasts a beautiful collection of vintage lifestyle goods (and is a much loved Yonder stockist!). We spoke to Alexa about her move from London to opening RAE in the sleepy town of Rye, and she lets slip a few of her favourite places to visit and eat in the town.
Nestled in the idyllic landscape of the English Cotswolds, Mahnee’s grade II listed house looks like it could have been plucked straight out of 'The Holiday'. A classic cottage in its proportions, designer Mahnee takes advantage of the cosy space with primitive wooden tables, lots of wonderful textiles, and of course, some colourful tufts of Yonder rugs (she currently owns 6 to date!) A new addition to the family, we also can’t get over the family's fluffy new pup, who totally camouflages into Mahnee’s Yonder Beni Ourain rug. Over the past year of being confined to our own homes, taking a peek into someone else's is a welcome escape from our own four walls. Take a look at Mahnee’s beautiful house below.
Pre-pandemic, travel would punctuate our year. Whether for work or pleasure, any excuse we could find to escape London and we were on it. How things have changed… So while the most exciting excursion we go on now is a trip to the ‘Big’ Sainsbury's, we’ve been reminiscing over our past visits to Morocco.
